The business was founded in 2015 during a transitional season in my life — a moment where I was reflecting on what I truly wanted to build for myself.
Like many, I knew I wanted to work independently, but I hadn’t yet found the path that felt aligned.
Growing up, I was already close to the world of events. My mother is a successful cake designer in Brooklyn, so I had early exposure to the level of detail, creativity, and care that goes into celebrating life’s biggest moments. While I knew baking wasn’t my lane, I was drawn to the experience of event design itself.
As I began exploring the industry, I discovered balloon design — a space that was still evolving at the time, especially in New York. It offered something I hadn’t found elsewhere: a way to combine structure, creativity, and emotion into one visual experience.
From there, I immersed myself fully. I studied, practiced, invested in professional training, and committed to refining my craft.
Years later, Balloons By SB has grown into a thriving design studio, trusted by both private clients and recognized brands. What began as curiosity has evolved into a business rooted in intentional design, elevated experiences, and meaningful moments.
I continue to develop new techniques and push creative boundaries so that every installation feels distinct, thoughtful, and aligned with each client’s vision.
